Star Fragments: Presence of Absence was intended for the exhibition In Other Words at Cloud Collective, London (March 2026).
Due to escalating military conflict in the Middle East, the works were unable to arrive at the venue, Corner Gallery. The disruption transformed the pieces from physical objects into a conceptual presence, performing the very idea they propose:
Meaning emerges through transformation rather than preservation.
2026년 3월, 미국과 이란 간의 긴장은 결국 직접적인 군사 충돌로 이어졌고, 이란의 바레인 미 해군기지 폭격 이후 중동 상공은 전면 봉쇄되었다.
런던 전시를 위해 이동 중이던 Star Fragments는 바로 그 순간, 지정학적 긴장의 한가운데, 바레인 DHL 중동 허브에 멈춰 섰다.
전시장에 물리적으로 도착하지 못한 작품은 그 부재를 통해 또 다른 방식으로 존재하게 되었다. 실재하는 오브제 대신, 이미지와 기록을 통해 전시에 참여한 이 작업은 '부재의 현존 (Presence of Absence)’이라는 개념적 상태로 전환되었다.
현재 이 작품은 그 사건과 흔적들을 바탕으로, 문서와 이미지, 배송 기록 등을 포함한 Conceptual Archive Package로 재구성되고 있다.

Introverted Resistance
This work is part of my ongoing practice exploring what I call Introverted Resistance—not a loud refusal, but a quiet one.
Against the acceleration and noise of the contemporary world, the work offers a different temporality: rooted, unhurried, enduring.
In the exhibition caption, I wrote:
"In other words: Introverted Resistance, where what refuses to speak loudly nonetheless persists."
I didn't expect to prove this so literally.
