Star Fragments: Presence of Absence was presented at In Other Words, Qloud Collective, London (March 2026).
On February 28, 2026, Iran launched strikes on the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain. At that moment, Star Fragments was in transit — held at the DHL Middle East Hub in Bahrain as regional airspace closed around it.
The work never reached the venue physically. Instead, it was presented as its own absence — through image and documentation — enacting the very principle it proposes:
Meaning emerges through transformation rather than preservation.
What began as a logistical disruption became an unintended performance of what the artist calls Introverted Resistance — a quiet persistence that continues even when the work itself cannot appear.
Star Fragments was subsequently featured in FAD Magazine in response to its presentation at In Other Words.
Star Fragments: 부재의 현존은 2026년 3월 런던 Qloud Collective에서 열린 그룹전 In Other Words에 출품된 작품이다.
2026년 2월 28일, 이란의 바레인 미 해군기지 폭격으로 중동 상공이 봉쇄되던 바로 그 순간 — Star Fragments는 바레인 DHL 허브에 있었다. 작품은 전시장에 물리적으로 도착하지 못했고, 이미지와 기록을 통해 그 부재로서 전시에 참여했다. 이 사건은 작품이 제안하는 개념을 문자 그대로 수행했다:
의미는 보존이 아닌 변환을 통해 생성된다.
지정학적 혼란이 빚어낸 이 우연은, 작가가 말하는 내향적 저항(Introverted Resistance) — 작품이 실재하지 않는 순간에도 지속되는 조용한 고집 — 의 의도치 않은 퍼포먼스가 되었다.
이 작품은 현재 해당 사건의 모든 흔적을 담은 Conceptual Archive Package로 재구성되고 있으며, 향후 개인전에서 선보일 예정이다.

Introverted Resistance
This work is part of an ongoing practice exploring what the artist calls Introverted Resistance — not a loud refusal, but a quiet one. Against the acceleration and noise of the contemporary world, the work offers a different temporality: rooted, unhurried, enduring.
In the exhibition caption, the artist wrote:
"In other words: Introverted Resistance, where what refuses to speak loudly nonetheless persists."
The work proved this literally.
Conceptual Archive Package
Star Fragments is currently being assembled as a complete Conceptual Archive Package — a documentation of absence as event, and displacement as form. This work is reserved for solo exhibition.
The package includes:

"Her practice is grounded in material-based research, particularly focusing on the reinterpretation of traditional Korean materials within contemporary art. In the Star Fragments series, the artist applies fire and controlled heat to the paper's surface, leaving burned traces that form grid-like and star-shaped intersections — translating thermal energy embedded within architectural structures into visual imagery."
